1. Think back in your mind to a photograph that absolutely resonates with you.  It could be a famous work, or personal image.  Briefly describe the image and try to explain what it is about that image that makes it so memorable, and/or so moving.

2. Make a list of at least five different qualities/characteristics that you think are important to making a good photograph.

I will collect these on Friday.  We will discuss answers next week.

Twins Assignment

Complete all of the below tasks about you and your name.  Have fun finding connections about you.

Google Yourself: Do a google search on your name (be sure to put it into quotes for the best search / “John Smith”)
-Write down the first website that comes up for your name, regardless of whether it actually contains information about you.
-Next, look at the first ten google images that appear. Are they all about you? Are there any odd or unexpected images that came up? Explain…

Birthday Twins / History: Search the day of your birth (just the day, not the year).
-Find two notable events that happened on the same month and day (besides you being born).
-List at least two notable people that share your birthday (can be historical or present).

How Many of Me:  http://howmanyofme.com/search/   type your name into this website to see how many people in the U.S. share your same name. List the the number as well as how many people share your last name.

Art Doppelganger: Download the Google Arts and Culture App. You may share a device if you don’t all want to download it. Feel free to delete the app afterwards if you do not want it. Use the “Art Selfie” feature to take a selfie and match it to famous works of art (you may need to scroll down to find it).
-Select one of the works of art that they matched up with you. Research the work of art. List the artist, title, location of the work, and the match percentage.
-Google the work to see the entire work. What is the entire work of or about?
-List 2 characteristics that you share with the subject, and 2 differences.
Try to complete this by the end of class 1/9/19.
